In November 2010 New Zealand's first purpose built Clean Technology Centre opened. The Centre, located in Otaki on the Kapiti Coast, provides an environment for the commercialisation of clean technology research and Silaca Glass Crushers is proud to be an associate member.

Crushed Glass - It's Safe to Handle

The SILACA PAVING SLAB is made from crushed recycled glass and is suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications to complement both internal designs and external architecture. Compliant with NZ Standards, they have a unique and attractive finish which glints and shines.

Silaca also process recycled glass into a range of crushed and tumbled sizes for a variety of aggregate, abrasive, traction and filtration uses:

• AGGREGATE - base course, leveling course, pipe bedding, non-structural and trench fill, topsoil additive, landscaping / driveway and sports turf applications
• ABRASIVE - sand blasting and water jet alternative for depainting, rust removal, graffiti removal, etching, spot cleaning and restoration work
• TRACTION - can replace sand for winter and safety traction and able to be mixed with paint and asphalt
• FILTRATION - municipal water treatment, septic and waste water filtration, swimming and spa pool filtration
• CERAMIC ARTWORK - coloured crushed glass to artist's requirements
• CRUSHED AND TUMBLED range from 5mm chip to sand

The SILACA GARDEN ORNAMENT range is made from crushed recycled glass and combined with cement. No other ingredients are used and the mixture of colours results in an attractive product.
